Waltti traffic in the area of Kotka, Hamina and Pyhtää and Waltti tickets and prices (only in Finnish).

R-kioski charges the customer a fee of 3.06% (VAT 0%) of the value of the topping up. As an example, if you buy a 30-day 1-zone seasonal product for an adult (price 52 €), there is also a top-up fee of about 2 €.

New Kela-subsidised travel cards are available at Ruori, Pyhtää library and Linnoitus indoor swimming pool in Hamina. Topping up is also available on buses.

Waltti mobile-ticket
The mobile tickets can be purchased via application Waltti mobiili /Waltti Mobile , select region Kotka.

The one-time card in South Kymenlaakso Public Transport
The one-time card is a non-rechargeable cardboard day ticket that can be purchased at a customer service point in Ruori. Price is 8 euros/day.

Semel Reissu mobile ticket
The mobile ticket is valid for 90 minutes from the time of purchase. The mobile ticket must be purchased before boarding the bus.

Train + bus = The Kymenlaakso ticket
The Kymenlaakso ticket is a common ticket for local buses and commuter trains in the Kotka region and Kouvola.
The Kymenlaakso ticket is used in the Kymenlaakso region and is a joint project between the City of Kotka, the City of Kouvola and VR. The ticket is valid both on the Kotka-Kouvola train and on local buses in the Kotka region and Kouvola. The product is purchased via the Waltti Mobile app by selecting Kymenlaakso as the region. Other Waltti products cannot be used to travel on trains!

Summer ticket for 90 days
The summer ticket for 90 days is like the 30-day ticket, but the sales period of the product in the online store and at the service points is from 2 of May to 19th of June 2023. The product can be bought online or at a service point on the same travel card which has had or has less than 30 days of season ticket products left. The ticket is valid for 90 days from its first stamping; however, until 20 September 2023 at the latest. Unused days are not refunded.

A 90-day summer ticket cannot be bought on the bus, and it cannot be topped up.

EU Disability Card for buses
The personal assistant of a passenger with a disability may travel free of charge if the disabled person presents a personal EU Disability Card provided with the symbol A indicating a need for an assistant.

 Travelling with a pram, stollers, rollator, bicycle or pet

Rollator
You can travel free of charge with a rollator on the bus on weekdays from 9–14 and evenings from 17.30 as well as on weekends and public holidays. The benefit is valid on city buses*. At other times, you can travel with a rollator for the price of a normal ticket. Please note that kicksleds are not allowed on the bus. Price: €0

Strollers and prams
You can travel free of charge on the bus if you are travelling with a stroller or pram. Additionally, children under 7 years of age can travel free of charge with an adult. This benefit is valid on city bus routes*. Please note that during rush times, you
may not be able to board the first bus. Price: €0

Strollers or prams should be pushed onto the bus in the direction of travel. The child
must travel in the pram/stroller, with the adult holding onto the pram/stroller
throughout the journey. The safest way to exit the bus is to pull the pram/stroller out.

Bicycles and electric scooters
For the carriage of bicycles and non-folding electric scooters on the bus, the following charges apply (cash only). Bicycles or electric scooters may be carried on the bus if there is space in the cargo area, and the driver determines that the vehicle will not cause inconvenience or danger to other passengers. The bicycle or scooter must be secured, and the cargo area clamps must be used throughout the journey. Please note that large cargo bicycles are not allowed on the bus. Price: €1.50

Folding bicycles and folding scooters, which travel in the passenger footwell, may be
taken to the bus free of charge. Price: €0

Pets
Harmless pets can travel on the bus with their owner if the driver approves. There is no extra charge for pets. Price: €0

*) City buses
City buses include all services on lines 1-55 in Kotka and between Kotka and Hamina, except for line 1M and minibus services on lines 5B, 5C, 6B, 7K, 9B, 9J, 9M, 13H, 23, 23S, 27R, 34B, 35B, 37B. The lines that start with P are not city buses. The city buses are low-floor buses, making it easy to accommodate a wheelchair, pram, bicycle or scooter.
